Refund Policy

This policy explains how App2Growth handles refund requests for free prototype stages, deposits, full builds, support, hosting, maintenance, retainers, and related digital services.

Last updated: 26 May 2026

This policy is written to explain App2Growth’s standard operating terms in plain English. Specific signed proposals, invoices, written agreements, or project-specific terms may add to or override parts of this page where applicable.

Company & Scope

This Refund Policy applies to services provided by App2Growth (Pty) Ltd, trading as App2Growth / A2G (Registration No: 2026/392192/07, contact: app2growth@gmail.com). It covers payments for prototypes, full builds, design and development work, support, hosting, maintenance, retainers, setup, integrations, automations, and related digital services.

Digital work is usually custom-planned and custom-built for a specific business, so refunds are handled differently from ordinary physical product returns.

Free Prototypes

Free prototypes do not require payment unless a separate paid service is agreed. If no payment has been made for the free prototype stage, there is no refund due for that stage.

Because free prototypes involve real A2G time, planning, design direction, software configuration, and intellectual property, clients do not receive ownership, transferable rights, source code, project structure, design systems, or underlying build rights unless a paid agreement is accepted.

Deposits and Upfront Payments

Deposits and upfront payments secure build time, project allocation, planning, architecture, design direction, development work, and production capacity.

Once work has started, deposits are generally non-refundable. Work may include planning, strategy, scoping, design preparation, technical setup, system architecture, development, meetings, admin, or production time.

If a refund is requested before any work has started, A2G may consider a refund minus payment processing, administrative, or already-incurred costs where applicable.

Milestone Payments

Payments linked to completed planning, design, development, integration, deployment, support, or other milestones are not refundable once that milestone has been started, delivered, reviewed, or approved.

If a project is cancelled mid-build, completed work and booked production time remain payable. Any remaining balance or refund position will be reviewed against the accepted scope, project stage, and payment terms.

Full Build Payments

Refunds are not normally available for completed or substantially completed digital work. Custom digital services cannot be returned like a physical product once time, design, development, setup, or delivery has been provided.

If there is a legitimate issue inside the agreed scope, A2G will first try to correct the issue rather than treat it as a refund matter. Issues outside the agreed scope, or caused by client changes, third-party platforms, missing information, or incorrect client content, are not refund grounds by default.

Monthly Hosting, Support and Maintenance

Monthly support, hosting, maintenance, retained development, or admin coverage fees are charged for access to ongoing service availability, updates, support, hosting/admin coverage, or retained capacity.

Paid monthly fees are generally not refundable for billing periods that have already started. Cancellation terms depend on the written agreement or package. Where not specified, reasonable written notice is required before the next billing cycle.

Third-Party Costs

A2G does not provide refunds for third-party costs such as domains, hosting, app store accounts, paid APIs, software subscriptions, SMS or email credits, payment gateway fees, plugins, templates, licenses, stock assets, external platform fees, or provider charges once incurred.

If a third-party provider has its own refund process, any refund depends on that provider’s rules and not on App2Growth.

Client Delays / Non-Response

If the client delays feedback, content, approvals, credentials, payment, access, domain details, product information, or other required input, project timelines may shift.

Refunds are not granted because of delays caused by missing client input, late approvals, non-response, missing access, payment delays, or third-party approval delays.

Scope Changes

If the client changes direction, adds features, changes branding, changes business logic, requests extra pages, requests new integrations, or asks for work outside the agreed scope, this is treated as a change request and not a refund reason.

Change requests may require additional payment, revised timelines, or a new project phase.

When A2G May Consider a Refund

A2G may consider a refund where there has been a duplicate payment, a payment made in error, a cancellation request made quickly before any work has started, or A2G is unable to begin the agreed paid service for reasons within A2G’s control.

Other exceptional cases may be reviewed at A2G’s discretion. Approval of one refund does not create an automatic right to future refunds in different circumstances.

Refund Request Process

To request a refund review, email app2growth@gmail.com with your name, business name, invoice or payment reference, date of payment, reason for the request, and any supporting details.

A2G will review the request based on the project stage, accepted scope, payment terms, work already completed, booked production time, third-party costs, and the reason provided.
